If you can't use a lubricant due to the application then you can chill the screws before insertion or slow down the screw setting operation so that heat doesn't build up so fast. I use ARP stainless fasteners which are as good as they get and if you do not lubricate them they can pick up. ARP have rolled threads so are less likely to do it but it can still happen i'm afraid.
